Animal Research help save human lives and makes sure medications are safe (Shandilga 1). There are three types of animal testing research, pure research, applied research, and toxicology research. Pure research is used to figure out more about the human and animal body. Applied research is directed towards one specific goal like finding a cure to a specific disease. The final type of animal research is toxicology research, when research is when different products are tested on animals to see the result. We do it because it has help find cures for many life threatening diseases (Shandilga 1). It can happen anywhere that there is scientist and a laboratory ands it is most common in 19th and 20th centuries (“Animal Experimentation” 549). Many people who do it work for the American Medical Association and Research Defense Society (RDS). Those are some of the people who do it (Shandilga 2). Animal testing should be allowed because it helps use advances in science, new medical treatments, and saves humans lives
